Sunday’s Best French Toast

French toast is one of the most requested breakfast food on a Sunday in my household hence the name. For that reason I always make sure my pantry is well stocked with the ingredients I need to make this or at least I have all the basics because I do substitutes a lot. This is a very easy recipe however it is not your average French toast recipe.

Here’s what you need:

  • 1 loaf of sliced French brioche (I used Trader Joe’s) or this
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • Non-stick butter cooking spray
  • Cut fruits for toppings (optional)
  • Syrup
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Here’s how:

Mix all (except the last 4) ngredients in a bowl with a whisk until everything is incorporated with no obvious lumps.
